Invitation
The series of International Conferences on Nuclear and Radiochemistry (NRC) aims to promote worldwide scientific exchange among scientists involved in various aspects of nuclear chemistry, radiochemistry and related disciplines.
The first conference in this series was held in Lindau, Germany (1984), and subsequently organized every 4 years in various parts of Europe, namely Brighton, U.K. (1988), Vienna, Austria (1992), St. Malo, France (1996), Pontresina, Switzerland (2000), Aachen, Germany (2004) and Budapest, Hungary (2008). Now it is our pleasure to announce the Eighth International Conference on Nuclear and Radiochemistry (NRC-8) to be held in Como, Italy. This is the first NRC conference organized under the auspieces of EuCheMS as well as in Italy.
The aim of EuCheMS NRC-8 is to cover all aspects of nuclear science and technology with particular attention to Nuclear and Radiochemistry and related disciplines. The sessions will be devoted to various fields with a multidisciplinary approach for sustaining the interest of scientists and industrial communities.
The sessions will consist of Invited Lectures (30 min) and a number of selected Short Oral Communications (15 min). It will be possible for everyone to attend all sessions because there will be no parallel sessions.
A separate room will be allotted for poster sessions.
The technical program will be designed to cover the following themes:
-
Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry ( radiodiagnostics, radiotherapy, theragnostics)
-
Nuclear fuel cycles, present Gen III+ NPPs, Gen IV and Th based reactors
-
Nuclear Chemistry, Radionuclide Production, High-Power Targetry
-
Radioanalytical Chemistry and Nuclear Analytical Techniques
-
Applications of radioactive tracers and nanoparticles
-
Chemistry of radioelements and Super Heavy Elements research
-
Reaction mechanisms and nuclear recoils, nuclear based spectroscopies (MOSSPEC and PAS), radiation geochronology, isotope effects
-
Radioactive elements in the environment, radiation archeometry and Health Physics
-
Education in radiochemistry and dissemination of culture in nuclear and radiochemistry, "session organized by CINCH consortium"
